He married (2) MARY ROBERTSON (AKA MARY HORN) July 15, 1866 in Saline County, IL Harmon Boatwright, J P. She was born Abt. 1826 in Tennessee, and died April 12, 1877.

Teresa Young of Souther research says:
Catherine Vantrease born 8/12/1820 daughter of William Vantrease, born abut 1790, and "Widow" Turner. She also says Catherine is sister to Thomas Vantrease. Thomas Vantrease is father of Sarah Caroline Vantrease Carter Kelly. Teresa says Sarah Caroline is her great-great-grandmother. The Souther and Vantrease families tie together through the marriage of Andrew Jackson Souther's daughter to the son of Sarah Caroline Vantrease Carter Kelley. Further more, Eliza Ellen Braden is aunt to Julia Ann Boyd Souther. Eliza Ellen Braden married James M. Durham. James M. Durham is the son of Ira Durham and Maria Carter. Not to be confused with James A., the son of Asahel Durham.

Notes for MARY ROBERTSON (AKA MARY HORN):
It is unclear whether Mrs. Mary Horn's maiden name was Robertson or Robinson. Records indicate it was Mary Robertson and she was married to James Wesley Horn, both born in TN.

James Wesley Horn died in Memphis TN during service in the Civil War from "measles/typhoid." and reportedly was brought to Saline County, IL for burial. He left 4 daughters. For a time, at least, some of the children were wards of a Mr. Robinson.
