Hi, My name is Juanita Durham Singleton. Anderson was my great-grandfather. I have not got all of my information in the system yet so I can put it on RootsWeb. My grandfather was John Calvin Durham and his father was Micajah Benjamin Franklin Durham, called Frank. I will update some information for you and hope to have all of it on Rootsweb before long.

I was very fortunate in that my granddad wrote all this information down and gave it to my Aunt. When she passed away, my sister and I found the information in an old trunk. You may already have the information, I will just update what you don't have on Rootsweb.

To start - Berry Durham (which he spelled Beary) was born in 1786 in Hanover, Virginia. He died May 3, 1840 in Anderson, SC. He is buried In the old Durham-Woodson Family Cemetery in Anderson. I can't put my fingers on the cemetery records at this moment but believe it is a rock carved out. Will find and follow up. Clarissa was called Clary. She was born 7-23-1783 in Hanover, Virginia and died September 9, 1880 in Anderson, SC. She was 97 years old, one month and 9 day old when she died. She is buried right beside Berry and I think the rocks say Clary on it.

Anderson's first name is Henry and he was a preacher. He was born 11-26-1816 in Anderson, SC and Died 5-5-1902 in Piedmont, SC. He is buried at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Anderson, SC. He married first Sarah "Sally" Berry. She was born 11-26-1818 and died 5-22-1853. Not sure where she is buried. They married December 27, 1838 in SC. He married second Martha Orr Manning. Her father was a preacher and they had no children. Anderson was a circuit preacher for Anderson, Pickens, and Piedmont, SC. And pastor of the First Baptist Church at Piedmont, SC. Anderson and Sarah had seven children. If you need that information you can let me know.I have all dates for those. Also, on Berry and Clarrisa's children. Who they married etc.

2. Jane Durham Born 8-9-1841 - D. 11-29-1880 in Greenville , SC. Married John Samuel Stephens -brother to Julia who married Frank.

3. Mahala L. Durham Born 1842

4. Micajah Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Durham is the full name of Frank. Born 10-25-1844 D. 6-16-1890 on Monday morning at 11:30AM in Elberton , GA. Buried with no marker. He married Julia Louise Stephens. My Great Granddad and Grandma

5. Harriett "Hattie" A. Durham Born 5-19-1846 D. 6-27-1886

6. William Hubert Durham B 3-13-1849 - Died 10-10-1873. He was 24 years, 6 months and 27 days old according to my G-dad. On the census it looks like Robert but it says Hubert. His second name.

7. Mary Louise "Lewizze" Durham B 3-12-1851

Anderson and Sarah had seven children. All born in Anderson , SC according to Granddad.
