The Commonwealth of Virginia,
To the Sheriff of Prince Edward County, Greeting:
We command you to summon William W. Colley Ex'or of William Colley dec'd. --------
to appear at the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery for Cumberland County, at the Court House of said County, at rules to be holden therein, on the first Monday in June next ____, _________, ___________ to answer a bill exhibited against him. ---------------

in said Court by Josiah W. Pigg and Julia his wife, formerly Colley, A. A. Legrand adm'r of James B. Durham dec'd. Adm. W. C. Durham - Hezeriah Martin and Lucy D his wife, formerly Durham, Owen J. Lindsey and Martha C. his wife, formerly Durham which said James B. dec'd Adm. W. C. Durham, Lucy D and Martha C. are children of James Durham and Elizabeth his wife formerly Elizabeth Colley ----- Palmore widow of John Palmore dec'd formerly Colley ----

And unless he shall answer the said bill within two months thereafter, the Court will take it the same for confessed, and decree accordingly. And this shall in no wise omit, under the penalty of one hundred pounds. And have then there this writ.
Witness, John Daniel, Clerk of our said Court, at the Court House, this 26th day of May -1847, and in the 71st year of the Commonwealth.

We John W. Wilson & Wm C. Flourney arbitrator and Stephen O Lonthall their umpire chosen by the said Arbitration, to where final arbitraments and umpringe were refered all matters in difference between Josiah W. Pigg and Julia his wife, formerly Julia Colley, Deanna Palmore (Palmer) widow of John Palmore (Palmer) formerly Deanna Colley; Archibald A. Legrand administrator of James B. Durham a son of Elizabeth Durham deceased formerly Elizabeth Colley, Wm. W. C. Durham a son of said Elizabeth, Azariah Martin and Lucy D. his wife, formerly Durham, Owen J. Godsey and Martha Elizabeth, her formerly Durham, which said Lucy D. and Martha Elizabeth are daughters of said Elizabeth Durham formerly Colley, who are plaintiffs and Wm D. Colley Defendant in a certain suit now depending and undetermined in the Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery for the County of Cumberland, after having fully heard the said parties and examined all the accounts exhibited by them to us, do award that the said William W. Colley Executor of Wm. Colley Senr. deceased is indebted to the Estate of his testator the sum of Eight hundred and ninety dollars and sixty six cents to bear interest from the 20th day of December 1848. Given under our hands and seals this --- day of --- 1849.
