FORT PIERCE, FLA.- Mary D. Huskey, 97, of Fort Pierce, Fla., died Saturday, May 13 2006. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Yates Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Pierce, Fla., with Dr. Ray Gamble officiating. A memorial service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville, N.C., at a later date.

Mary Huskey was born in Caswell County, N.C., daughter of Nathaniel L. and Mary S. Hodges Durham. Mary was married to her late husband, John B. Huskey Sr., for 45 years, before his death in 1972. Mary moved to Fort Pierce, seven years ago, from Reidsville, N.C. She was a homemaker, a member of Main Street Methodist Church in Reidsville, N.C., for over 75 years and attended Business College in Danville, Va.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Revels of Fort Pierce, Fla.; son Jerry B. Huskey of Pleasant Garden, N.C.; granddaughters, Angela Huskey of Madison, N.C., Cynthia Kerwick of Wilmington, N.C.; grandson Anthony Huskey of Leland, N.C.; great-granddaughter Aryanna Huskey; brothers, N. Curtis Durham of Reidsville, N.C., and Talmadge Durham of Concord, N.C.; sister Alma Carter of Broomfield, Colo. She was preceded in death by her son, John B. Huskey Jr., brother J.T. Durham and sisters, Bessie Grogan and Hazel Woolen.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial contributions be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 338, Reidsville, NC 27323-0338.
