4. David DURHAM. Virginia Marriages, 1785-1940, shows James M. Durham, son of Nancy Durham, marrying Sally Sheilds Taylor on 20 Dec 1866 in Henrico County, Virginia. James M. Durham lists his parents on this marriage record, as "David Durham" and "Nancy Durham".

Nancy (????) DURHAM was born about 1810 in Henry County, Virginia.1,3,4,6 She died after 1870. It is NOT 100% proven that Nancy (Durham) is a daughter-in-law of Sally Durham, age 64, found in the 1850 Census for Surry County, NC. Nancy (???) Durham, appears to be the wife of David Durham, who could be a son of Sally Durham. Here's info that I have:

Henry Durham signs a document giving permission to Jonathan Ogden to marry Nancy Durham on October 28, 1841 in Patrick County, VA.

In the 1850 census for Surry County, NC, Sarah "Sally" Durham is living in the houshold of Nancy Durham.

In the 1870 Census for Surry County, NC (Mt. Airy), Nancy Durham, age 60, is listed in the household of Anderson Creed and wife, Martha (Durham).

Nancy Durham's oldest son James M. Durham's death certificate (9 Dec 1918, Surry County, NC) states he was born in Patrick County, VA on 13 May 1832. David DURHAM and Nancy (????) DURHAM had the following children:
