Thomas Seaborne Durham and his wife Mary Chastian Durham are buried in Oak Valley
Cemetery, Lavaca, Sebastian County, Arkansas. They have a large oblisque monument
with a Masonic emblem.
Thomas S. Durham Feb. 12, 1823-June 16, 1904, Mary C. Oct. 26, 1829-Jan. 4, 1899,
Byron July 30, 1857-Oct. 7, 1859, and infant son Jan. 21, 1856-Jan 24, 1856 "Children
buried in Walker County, Georgia" He was my great grandfather, Lorenzo Mansfield
Durham's father. I have a Durham Bible which records the marriage of Lorenzo
Mansfield Durham and Martha Elizabeth Pepper at Henry Pepper's home by Parson
Morman on Sept. 6, 1877 and witnessed by Henry Pepper and wife and Manda Wood
and Betty Crop. There are births of children and deaths listed.
